Classes will be lively and in addition to small group instruction, plans are to include music to facilitate new vocabulary as well as sharing of recipes of Spanish and Mexican cuisine.

Carlos Durán, Descanso Homes Sales professional agent will be teaching all the classes.


He was raised in the border region of Mexicali-Calexico. Completed studies at San Francisco State University with a two-year stint at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid, Spain. 

 

Completed BA degree at SFSU in Spanish and Music.

 

Recently completed a Professional Certificate in Translating and Interpreting at UCSD La Jolla.  


This is an opportunity to learn enough Spanish to get around the market, restaurants, shopping centers, hotels and favorite Baja California haunts.

 

Small groups of no more than six pupils per class.

 

We'll cover basic conversation skills that include: meeting new friends; shopping; travelling; singing folk songs; and learning new recipes from Spain and Mexico.
